Mark Eastman is the owner and operator of Chefs' Haven, a gourmet store and learning  center for novice and experienced chefs in Hockessin, De.  His experience includes 25 years in the food industry.  Mark attributes most of his talent to his mother and his quality education at New England Culinary Institute www.neci.edu Montpelier, VT.    Eastman, 47, has worked at various area restaurants such as the four-star Brasserie Perrier in Philadelphia, Pa. and the Dilworthtown Inn in West Chester, Pa.  He specializes in preparing fish, meat, sauces and soups.  Sharing his knowledge is his passion.

At Chefs’ Haven, which opened in December 2008, Eastman provides high quality pantry and kitchen equipment and gadgets, knife sharpening service, the highest quality chocolates available, gourmet desserts and confections, and basic cooking ingredients such as irreplaceable demi glace and hard to find spices.  In addition, Eastman has brought together some of the region’s best artisans selling primitive style hutches and tables, restaurant quality butcher blocks,  beautiful functional pottery and original kitchen artwork.  

Mark's main service at Chefs’ Haven’s is to teach passionate home cooks the proper way to prepare food, and provide the necessary tools and ingredients to accomplish a most impressive end result!


Eastman, his wife and Chefs’ Haven co-owner Majella, and their two sons live in Landenberg, Pa.
